Well, I figured I'd have some explaining to do

. And no, I'm not a drug smuggler.

Here goes:
1) Financial aid covers school for now, plus I've sold my frikkin soul to loan agencies like Sally Mae for tons of money for books, and other school expenses (after sending about a billion emails, reciepts and tax returns back and forth, damn bureacracy!).
2) I live at home, parents never take rent from me, and I was working full-time...that meant some serious savings, after basic bills like cell phone, gas, etc, were paid. I'm not spoilt, just well-loved
3) The dough for the Toronado and the Lincoln actually came from my dad and my uncle, because I've convinced them that these classics are a good, solid long-term investment (there's no way in crap I could afford these on my own). After a lot of haggling, I forced them to divert some of their stock/funds for business towards me so I could do this classic car thing on the side. These vehicles are actually, uh, technically, not meant for driving around and slapping on 20"s n shiz (I did that with some of my own dough, lmao, cuz there's no way my dad was paying for my to "pimp" these classics). Instead, they are actually meant to be restored by me and then stored in a barn for the next 10 years or so.
But I can't just go and buy whatever I want...the deals have to be pretty exceptional. The Toronado, for $4000, was the deal of a lifetime. I will probably never find another car like it for that price. My mechanic thought I was bullshitting him. It required no "fixing" or restoration of any sort, other than upgrading of the ignition system for more reliable driving, and not a spot of rust, and a 3" thick pile of uninterrupted records from 1969 to 2004! The Lincoln is actually my first "project", so to speak, since it actually requires me to "fix" (top and all), but shoot, there are such few coups left in such relatively good condition. So, all I'm doing is buying smart. People think I mustve put thousands in the Toronado to make it look like that, but you should see their jaw drop when I tell them how little I paid for everything.
