Hmmmm.... i seriously dont think it is, but i do know that if you put too much stress on your battery from the alt, then from the stereo system something can happen lol. i myself am upgrading my electrical crap in my focus. im planning on putting another battery that is MADE for the trunk and put it behind or in the sub box itself, since i am going to convert the back side of the car into a huge stereo place.

I allready have a Odysee PC1500amp dry cell battery up front and a Odysee pc1200 battery in the trunk were my spare tire was.I have a kickerZR1000.1 amp and a kicker ZX350.4 amp in my car now and all the electrical is good for now. but i am going to swap out the zr1000.1 for a 4000w-6500watt amp as soon as i deside on the amp i want. And with that big a jump i dont think the stock alt will hold the load and i may have some problems.I asked the guy at the Ford servise counter if my alt is tied into the comp and he was not 100% shur but he said it is.
