I know thatin supras it is faster to put a single tubo in place of thetwn turbo, but is this also true for RX-7s? I know its hard to compare a v6 with a twin turbo but I would like to know for a friend of mine who is in the market for an rx-7. peace
Yeah, single is better and makes more HP, but what you said makes no sense. Let me correct you. First off, the supra is not a V6, its an inline 6,
and what do you mean when you say its hard to compare a v6(inline 6) with a twin turbo? I think you mean rotory because both the supra and rx7 are twin turbo from the factory, just to let you know.

Twin turbos can not only be powerful they make the rotary engine really shine. The trick is the right computer (APEXi Power FC or Haltech), improved fuel delivery (pump, filter, injectors), and the exhaust, intake and cooling mods to match. You end up with 500+ hp and a very street drivable machine where all 500hp shows up around 4000rpm and stays pretty much all the way to redline (12000 rpm in a balanced engine).
I hope you're talking about aftermarket twins because the most HP I have ever heard of from the stock twins is 350, and I think if you went to the rx7forum and asked any of them, they would agree.
