This I'm guessing happens all the time, but is only more prominent at the higher boost. Almost all the manufacturers I've seen that make WGs (except for eBay brands) had other springs that you can buy that offer lower adjustments. They are cheap, and it's just easier to go straight through the manufacturer. I would also only trust going that route because these springs are made specifically for the WGs and that specific boost. Seems just like the best way to go.
