There is one major problem with the Academy kit and that is the fact that there is no back to the monocoque, so you're left with a hollow space where the fuel cell should be
just in front of the engine.
Of course if you not removing the bodywork its not a problem but why go to the trouble of moulding the detail on the engine if you can't display it
Its quite easily resolved with a bit of plasticard and Eric Evain's helpful little drawing

but its one of the reasons Academy haven't hit the mark as well as Tamiya, nice try but no cigar
BTW nice build so far Steve, love the reflection of the wing in the nosecone, real nice paintjob
