You may have popped a fuse link in the power feed from battery to fuse block.
With a 2.5 or 4.3 engine check at the rear aof alternator for 2 fuse links.
with a 2.8 engine the power feed wire and fuse link is down on the starter solenoid.
Your local parts place shoud have fuse link wire that can wire in if a fuse link is bad.
