Yeah, Moser is what you might be thinking of.
They were 4 valves per cylinder, pent-roof. Gilmer belt driven off the crank. Found a picture of an engine on a stand fitted with the heads and 4 Webers. Pretty weird looking.
EDIT-Just found another pic showing the business end with what apperars to be a very flat combustion chamber and the usual central plug. It has 6 hold down stud holes for each cylinder, which is weird too.
