The color differance really depends on what color it is and how much fading it has. The car is first painted and then the badges are put on, unless it has been repainted, so the paint is all the same to start with. After time the badges and such keep the elements and sun from altering the paint behind them, but the rest of the paint takes the abuse and will fade, even if just a little. If it has been garage kept or under covers, it will not be so bad, but if it is a nice bright red or so and sits outside all the time, it may show much more then you want it to.
