maybe someone has a bass-ackwards way of doing this, but with any waterleak i get, (unless it's obvious), i pull the carpet back. we have trace powder. if you dry all the water up, sprinkle some baby powder around on the floorboard. run a water hose over the top of the vehicle for a while. each side of the vehicle, at any angle, until you find where the water is coming from.

p.s. unless you park in two feet of water, it's not coming from beneath the vehicle. and if it has ever leaked on an s-series, i've seen it.
