Re: Went and did a little car shopping today...
50K for the R33 is something I see. The R32 is much cheaper. I'm not disclosing the amount I personally can get it for. I've already done my research, and honestly, the price I can get one for is for me to know.
I'm personally not trying to put a skyline on a pedestal. Cassiesman has said that for every quick Skyline, there are a handful of other cars out there that are just as quick. It's an enthusiasts choice to choose what he or she may want to own/mod/love.
Think about it, last year Cassiesman, you consistently praised the M3. Over and over on numerous occassions you would compare the M3 to other cars. I'm sure you still do and would choose an M3 over any car. Why, because that's your bread and butter.
Why would I choose a Skyline? Not exactly my bread and butter, but because I love them. I want one, and I would love to own one. Will I think highly of it, probably will. But, that's my choice because it's what I'm looking for.
The rarity of it around here in my area is what makes it more of a gem to me. I'm still currently the only person here in my area to own a Turbo Spyder. I was the first to do it here as far as I know, and I haven't met another kid with one here. There is one GSX and one Talon TSI AWD, along with a few 1st gens as well. But still, no GS-T Spyder. None yet. I have plenty of people to vouche for me to say that I still am.
Same goes for the Skyline. Haven't see one here yet, so I plan on being more "unique". I want to be the one around here that owns one of a kind vehicles. So far, I'm successful in doing so with the Eclipse. Next, if nobody comes along to buy a Skyline, I'll be the first with a Skyline. That's what I'm going for.
If you think about it. Anyone who buys their own car of choice, puts it up on a pedestal. An M3 owner will think highly of M3's. A Supra owner will think highly of Supra's. A Corvette owner will think highly of Corvette's. That's that in truth.
