I let off the gas and my RPM's shoot up to 2000 instantly, I was told it was my Throttle Position Sensor, so I replaced it and still...the problem persists. I then was told that my map sensor had gone out so I went and spent the $57.77 on a new one only for the problem to NOT GO AWAY .
I'm at the brink of losing my mind here and if anyone could help I would REALLY appriciate it.

Nearly forgot...When I put on my new TPS it didn't want to fit on the right way...I had then forced it on and heard a click or a snap type noise...If I screwed that up then my problem probably lies there. When I dislocate the wires running from it while the truck is running there is no change in performace...when I dislocate the map sensor it starts to sputter real bad. Will I kill my truck runnning it without the vaccum line and it sputtering like that?
the problem is the mass air flow most likely.
