I seriously don't think your engine is blown... If you can do your own stuff see about that valve issue that some guys mentioned earlier. Replacing the engine because of this seems rather excessive to me.... If your engine is blown it should be obvious.
PS. These are Zero tolerance engines if the problem is bad enough that you would have to replace the engine you would know it...
EDIT: That second video seems to be from a guy that is on these forums. PM him and see what he said happened with his car's engine
