Re: adjusters; I've not had the pleasure of dealing with a deteriorated socket. That sure sounds like planned obsolescence though You might be the first to show us all how to m.i.c.k.e.y. m.o.u.s.e those into working, and still be adjustable. There's a few guys that deal with Ford parts and give discounts to forum members, LOL has a resident. I normally use www.rockauto.com to reference parts prices; then I buy from the residents.

Personally, I don't know how long the swap would take, like you mentioned.. these are a bit unique. LOL has a tech article on lens polishing, but that's the easy part.

Our resident JunkYardDoggie aka Mike can get lots of different parts, it would be worthwhile to give him a shout via PM here. He may be able to give more details on that adjuster socket.
