Re: Motor Swap Question

I thought I did use the sub forum, anyways I no Im going to need to fab parts and monts, I was just woundering if anyone has done it before. I can swear Iv seen it before. And what you mean "crank walk"?

Im not good with those terms, lol, and when I do go to do this, Im taking it to my friends cuzin garage he has welders, pimp benders, lifts. All the tools we will need to do this. I no I need a custom exhaust, custom motor mounts, tranny mounts. I no I need work, put I dont really understand what the diff is from a 6 bolt or 7 bolt, whats the diff? And why dose it matter so much?

And you're right about one thing, we're going to tell you its a pointless swap. First off, I dont think the 1.8 and 2.0 mounts are even remotely close so you are going to need to do quite a bit of fabrication to get it in there at all. Second, once you get it in there you will have a 7 bolt, a ghetto rigged on at that. Then you are going to have to worry about crank walk blah blah blah. Completely not worth your time and/or money at all IMO.

To answer your question, I doubt this has ever been done mainly because there is no point for it to have ever happened. If you really want to do it you are pretty much blazing your own path.
