also, I have a few questions that I would really love some input about
1. Should I primer the red plastic of the ferrari body with Tamiya White Primer or Tamiya Grey Primer, Ive seen various ferrari models where both types of primer were used, some builders chose white, others chose grey and im confused as to which one would be best for my car
2. Ive changed my mind about the carbon fiber weave and im going to go for the basic weave look, at 1:12 scale it will just be slightly out of scale, how many sheets would I need? And am I insane for wanting to do the suspension parts, all the body work, wing tips on anything that is flat/semi black on the car using CF. Alot of upclose pics of both cars show CF on the 'black' part of the front/rear wings etc.... I plan on doing CF detail to both my Ferrari 643 and McLaren MP4/6!
3. Painting the helmets?, they are quite small, compared to the car, should I just buy the small tamiya paint bottles and some good quality paint brushes or should I buy some more TS spray cans, I found the paint code for senna's helmet in the little paint bottle, but If I decided to paint senna's helmet on my McLaren Body that im also going to work on, what yellow TS color would be best?....I am paranoid about getting brush strokes on such prominent part of the car/driver
