WIP - 1/14th Scale Ferrari 643 F1

okay, okay its not exactly a 'model kit' but It does have a full plastic body, and its not a polycarbonate body. It is an RC car, but it will be run occasionally on a closed go kart track and will be somewhat of a shelf queen .

I just got this in from Japan, it is very nice for a 15 y.o kit, This build is going to take me a few weeks while I get all the bits n pieces in, paint, carbon fiber weave decals, etc. I spent way too much on this kit so I'm not really worried about spending a few more $$ for some 'small' finishing touches, I am going to model this on Alain Prosts 1991 Challenger, I am a huge Senna Fan, so i think it should be only fitting that I do this Ferrari with his old arch rival in mind. Here are some quick pics I just took of it, and If someone feels this should be in the RC section, then thats fine, you can move the thread, but its kind of dead over there

Btw, on the vintage circa 1992 Tamiya instructions, it says the color to use is 'TS-8', which is now known as Italian Red, is it still the same color as it was back in the early 90s, I know Ferrari Changed the color of its red in the late 90s when Schuey joined the team, any thoughts on this theory? I want to get the color perfect

some pics:

also, this is the place I was thinking of buying the carbon weave from....

......for the chassis/body detailing, does anyone else have any other links for some carbon weave, as im new to the whole carbon detailing scene.
