Re: '93 5.7L Knock sensor
An easy way to test to see if the knock sensor is working is, with you or a buddy hold a timing light on the timing mark while the other lightly taps on the block buy the knock sensor with a hammer. The knock sensor is located on the right side of the block down by the starter. If the timing mark moves when you tap on the block then the sensor is working, but if it doesn't then you have a bad knock sensor.
