Its not that they're bad or anything its just difficult to swap in anything due to space, mounting, and wiring issues. I've seen a ton of B and D swaps in 1g's, its just a lot more work. I hope the car really is an si because if it were carbed than you would need to convert the whole fuel system.
Another big thing is that 1g's don't have that great of resale value. People aren't prepared to pay as much for one than a 2g crx.
