Hiya Mickey#1. Thanks for the great location photo. I went to the fuel pump mfr's site and stumbled accross this. This bulliten could solve 15% of the LeSabre posts here and elsewhere.

Keep in mind I wired all the way past all curcuits & went straight from the battery to the fuel pump, ground too. still had same prob. The GM TECHNICAL SERVICE says
"The Problem:
Many GM vehicles from 1988 to 2005 have electrical connectors on
the fuel pump module that may become loose over time due to vibration, leading to faulty, high-resistance connections. The symptoms - burned
or melted connectors and pins - lead to a voltage drop situation where
low or no voltage can cause the module to stop pumping.
