Code 43: Peak primary circuit current not achieved with maximum dwell time. and/or Misfire detected in one or more cylinders 1 thru 6. (4 and 6 cyls.)
I *believe* this could be something as simple as needing plugs and wires/dis cap & rotor or severe as a ignition coil on the way out. Start with a lookthrough and see if the distributor has any visible cracks or carbon tracks. When was the last time your plugs were changed?
Have you invested in a manual? Chilton, Haynes, or even a factory service manual (If you plan on being 'hardcore'
). My Haynes manual was the best 17 bucks I've spent.
