I'd start shopping in the meantime, and see if you can find another Z28 for around the same coin. You may be able to pick up one that was in better condition then yours. You'd be surprised at some of the deals you can get out there.

Well, they didn't total it. Do I'm in the process of putting it back together. I'm just waiting on the parts to come in, thanks to John (I hope he receives the check soon). I cleaned the heads with brake cleaner today and cleared out some more debris from the lifter valley. I'm waiting to flush it until we are ready to drop the manifold in, that way, it won't be sitting there a chance for more crap to get in there. And I got a couple guys (who I actually went to HS with) from another forum helping me out when I get the parts in. So that's the partial update. Hopefully, then next update will be a completed car.
