I only replaced the busted line, which in my case was along the driver's side, running the full length of the vehicle. I inspected the rest of the lines, but they looked good.

I bought a full-length piece from the stealership, and it was pre-bent to the proper configuration and with end fittings already installed. I don't see how I could have just spliced in a repair...as you say, it was too rusted to even attempt salvaging any of the line. Had to drop the fuel tank....a real pain.

If you say you have a burst line on the passenger side, then as I recall that's a relatively short piece that just runs from the terminal block near the differential, over to the right rear wheel. I'd just buy a piece from the dealer...actually the price wasn't too bad.

(By the way, I read your Profile.....we have amazingly similar profiles! And my DOB is '48).
