I have honestly never had a problem with my GM dealer in relation to parts. They are always very busy even with 3-4 people running the counter. It helps them tremendously when you know exactly what you want like saying "I need a TCC PWM solenoid for the 2000 Olds Intrigue." I would also print out the picture or bring in the old one to match it up -Always bring in the old part if you can, because it saves you that extra trips back and forth.

I like to always give any parts person crap and drop the part on the counter and say "I need one of these." The guy at the GM parts counter is about ~50 years old and will actually say "so you need a TCC PWM solenoid, what year and make?" They are pretty good and I'm assuming they just got sick of working on cars for a bit thinking that the service counter would be less of a headache and easier on the body (it's not).

Napa is usually pretty fair also. The other parts places it depends -most of them are pretty young and inexperienced. I am a big fan of Napa and also GM for parts. RockAuto I have used a bit and never had much of a problem. Ordered 1 part from GMpartsdirect. I really prefer to buy the part locally if possible. With RockAuto I was buying $100s in parts at a time so it was actually quite a bit cheaper than Napa (30-50% typically).
