I would start by putting a fuel pressure guage on it , and check for injector leak down .. After you run the Truck , shut it off and watch your fuel pressure . At the same time check the pressure , should be around 35 psi.
With injector leak down , can cause hard starts in the am . Fuel leaking into cylinders at a slow pace.. slowly will seep past rings washing them out, so upon cranking , it has to dry out the cylinders and rebuild up compression to start. I would Start by checking injectors.. gl
