Yeah, a 1/2" breaker bar and 32mm socket with a long cheater bar is a must, unless you have air tools.

Make sure to do this while the car is on the ground and a friend on the brakes.
From my experience, if you have an STD or HF you don't need to take out the strut fork, as the axle is small enough to slide through. DX/Si axles are bigger and require you to remove the strut fork.
