The whole story is in a post a little further down called 96 Windstar stalls when you...

Anyway, the engine stumbles when you snap the throttle at an idle. I thought I'd do some other testing while I wait for the donor van to become available again. I figured that beings there are electrical connections on the IMRC's, I figured V+, gnd, and signal out, I would test them out to see what they are reading. I know that one of the connections is breaking loose from the rest of the valve. Someone put too much stress on it. I thought it might not be reading properly and when it showed to make no difference whether or not the valve was open or closed. So, I tested the other valve and got the same result. I'll try with power applied. Perhaps it's not a resistance measurement at all. Maybe it's an optical trigger instead.

Do you know which wire is the signal wire?
