The HF tranny has completey different gearing than the DX and has the lowest final drive of all trannies (around like 2.93:1). The DX and SI actually have the same gearing but the SI tranny has a much high FD (around 4.35:1). Bottom line, if you want to build a turbo/ all motor D, your best bet is picking up an SI tranny, hard to find now a days.
