Switch incorrectly.. that's the one inside the steering column under the steering wheel? Is that the one you replaced? That's OK, it was most likely ready to fail anyway being that old
So, I'm thinking you're calling the BOO Switch the MfS? The BOO (Brake On Off) or brake pedal switch is the most likely culprit in this scenario.
It's located where it can touch the Brake Pedal arm, and it will fail from time to time and cause this problem. Sometimes it's just not touching the pedal arm properly and needs adjustment, sometimes the wires to the switch were disconnected or loose, and sometimes the switch itself just quits working.
