Huh? How is a cool cai tube going to "shed heat" energy into a hot engine bay? Thermal energy transfers from hot to cold. With that in mind, the cai tube only stands to absorb heat from the bay. Plastic is an insulator and has horrible heat transfer properties so it would be the best if someone didn't want to bother wrapping the tubes.

It doesn't matter anyway; just pull the silencer off the airbox and you have a free fenderwell CAI.
