I think you'd do fine with a 2.5" downpipe, high-flow cat and a u-bend removal. At this point I personally think that PEMs or Headers is probably a waste of money. If you plan on doing more serious mods in the future though, then it might not hurt. I also think the shift kit is a good idea.

Thats 4 mods right there I guess, Im not sure how many miles are on your car, but ive seen the gaskets fail at 40,000 miles or 250,000 miles, doesnt really seem to matter. But I would seriously consider doing it as preventive maintenance. If I ever own another 3800, you can bet Ill be doing it.
