Hi guys,
First, thanks for all your kind words.

Once the rear cowl was on, it was staying on

It isn't glued, but it is firmly in place and then the mirrors were attached (again not glued) so, taking new photos of the engine was not on the cards. Apart from some additional wiring for the E boxes, the engine bay looks exactly the same. They were in the WIP, so I thought it wasn't necessary to repost them, although, I am coming around to the opinion that they should be posted here too for people who havent been following my WIP thread.

Hi Veyron, Excellent observation. The answer is that I only really got the confidence and skills for polishing with this build. I have tried polishing in the past and removed paint, so I just used the Tamiya polishing compounds on the front and rear wings. This, unfortunately, did not give a shine or remove all the orange peel. I put 4 coats of clear on the rear cowling and went to work on it with the Micromesh and the results were fantastic... however, I then had a dillema... did I really want only a single polished section to the car... the answer was no. So, all I can say is watch my Tyrrell Yamaha 023 thread for the shiniest bodywork you've seen... probably
Kind regards,
Bill
