My car is in the shop right now getting some body work done, and I want to have the door handles shaved. I have been searching and reading, trying to find the information I want, but I couldn't get any definite answers. Here's my list of questions, please help me out! I have a 2000 Pontiac Firebird, so everything pertains to it.
1. First, I don't have power locks or windows now, is this necessary to start off with?
2. I am sure I am going with an AutoLoc kit, just because of their reputation. I was thinking about using this basic kit, because I don't need an alarm or anything, just something simple to pop open my doors a little. Do I need any other accessories, or is this complete enough?

3. I don't want my doors swinging open at a hundred miles an hour, but I want them to pop open just enough to where I can just pull them open, will those 11 lb. solenoids be enough? I read somewhere that 8lb. is fine for most imports.
