i bought the 700R4 rebuild video from
www.transmissionhead.com about 1.5 years ago. i rebuilt it myself, following the video, and it was a lot easier than tryin to figure it out otherwise. the 700R4 is the exact same as the 4l60E except there are a few more wires in the 4L60E. Mechanically its the same. I would recommend you buy that video.
I had my tranny guy look at it after I rebuilt it (I didnt smooth out the throttle valve enough, with sandpaper, and so it got stuck. but I wasnt sure what the problem was at the time. simple fix.) He unstuck it for a very minimal price and repeatedly complimented me on how well the tranny was put together. He was impressed.
