I own a 2003 2.2l cavalier coupe. I was driving home from work after working overtime last night, and i noticed that when i shifted and pressed the gas, it would speed up, but not as much, like it was hesitating. Then, about 2 seconds later, the dash lights came on, first the battery, then the oil light, and died.
As I was waiting for a towtruck, I watched at the 4 way hazard lights went from normal to slow and weak, to gone. I am guessing its something with the distributor or alternator. I checked the oil and what fluids i could in the middle of a 4 lane road in the freezing cold, they look fine. It was at this point, after closing the hood, i realized i had locked my keys in the car. Towed it to a garage, but not a good night. Any ideas and approx prices to fix this?
