If your light has that three-position switch then the 'Always off' setting should override everything, even if you had, for example, a faulty door switch. So if you have that type of switch and if the light stays on even when on the 'Always off' setting then your fault would be right there at the switch. Perhaps it isn't wired that way though, in which case I probably couldn't help without seeing a wiring diagram.
Where would you find this switch? Thanx 4 both of your help. still looking 4 more ways to fix it though.
