You'd be fine with the 300 hz filters, hell that's plenty high actually. I have 2 pairs of Infinity 4x6 plate speakers, the filter on my cd player is set to 110 hz and I can go down to 90 but the cd player distorts the speakers at high volume playing that low, not because they're overpowering the speakers though.
I just hope you realize how high 300 hz is, you won't really have much bass at all but it will keep the speakers from distorting and sounding bad.
