I always use automotive paints - As part of my job i see accident damage cars and sort the repairs out with bodyshops - This allows me to be able to mix any colour etc. If anybody in the UK wants a special paint mixed let me Know - Anyway I use automotive clear laquer. It is a two pack based - it has to be mixed with a hardener and an accelerator to make it dry quickly. As with all clearcotes if it goes on well it shouldnt need to much attention. I then use autoglym polish and then autoglym extra gloss - This helps to add depth to the paint which I think is important to make models look real. The secret is to do it without applying too much paint.

If u guys like the finish on this - wait for my 360 Modena - The paint is a real treat - I will post when done - but I do take my time - I think thats important.

Hope this helps
Jim
