the building of an intake/exhaust system is skill over knowledge, you can know everything there is to know about turbos, but without practical skill you can't do much at all.
my advice, go find a class in welding or something, taking the first step is the hardest, but once you know how to do it, there's nothing to it. get a book on metal fabrication or welding, go take a class and you're all set.
