like a week and a half ago, i just changed my oil and just today, my check oil light came on and checked it, looks like i already need more oil. i have 140,000 miles and change my oil every 3000 miles, well almost consistently. usually i put 10W30 grade oil in, but my last oil change they put 10W40. is this ok and is this what caused it to burn so quickly? the mechanic said its better to put 10W40 in a car over 100,000 miles, is this true?
ill just put more oil in it for now.
