Re: A6 2.7t model info
My dad had a 2002 a6 with the 2.7T motor and all I have to say is WOW! The powertrain is very strong, plus the car gets up and goes quite quickly. As far as reliability goes he never had a problem with it, although he got rid of it with only about 70k on the odometer in favor of the updated 2005 model. The only problem I could forsee with these kind of cars on the higher milage spectrum is the turbo. After about 150k or so the turbo will need a rebuild if not sooner to freshen it up becasue after all a turbo does put some stress on the motor that a n/a car does not experience. All I can say is this car is amazing with the 2.7T motor matted to the quattro, say goodbye to all your wet weather worries of handling! Hope my helps.
