check your transmission fluid levels, and check the color of the fluid, if it is a red color than it is still good, but if it is black, most likey your tranny is shot, another thing it could be is if the gearbox is shot. the only one that to my knoledge you can check easily is the transmission through the fluid, other than that, i would say bring it to a good mechanic.
