I've checked at
www.gmcpartsdirect.com and for a replacement spring is 320 bucks not including shipping. Take 2 of those and I'm up there in price already. Tack on labor and I can see it going up another 3-4 hundred maybe. I'm preaty sure I wouldn't be able to accomplish doing this myself when I don't have a lift or let alone a floor jack.
I'm scheduled to bring it in tomorrow morning. The truck is still drivable as I've been driving it for the past 6 months. But I think the price is crazy just to fix a sound but this also makes me put some weight in the back of it without worry.
I'm not sure what to do.
