The check engine light comes on occassionally as well. After the car runs at that of high of RPMs for about 5 or so minutes, the check engine light goes off and the car runs perfect <2000 rpms at idol. Im guessing there is some sort of idoling sensor that is gone bad or just simply needs cleaning. I do not have insurance on the car and it is not currently registered therefore I can not legally drive it to a garage. Can some one give me an idea of the problem and maybe something I can pick up at a junk yard or an auto parts store that can help my car idol better at start up.

Thanks

well i wouldnt say its running perfect with a 2000 RPM idol. maybe a TPS(throttle position sensor) theres also a way to adjust ur idling speed. im not sure how but i know you can because ive thought about doing it to mine
