Re: Another 2000 Blazer Fuel Pump

Well the fuel pump's in and it's running but now I have a code coming back for a "misfire on the number 5 cylinder" which I didn't have prior to the pump going up. The repair shop switched the 4 and 5 cylinder plugs and still the same misfire on 5. Wires, cap and rotor were all replaced 10K ago so they doubt it's that but are going to check them. They haven't exhausted all possiblities but mentioned a possible problem with the fuel injector for cylinder 5 and of course the injectors are all inside the manifold so that means removing the manifold. At this point, if I had to bet, since it wasn't misfiring prior to the pump going out, I'd bet the injector went when it went dry after the pump went up.

Any thoughts ?
