Re: Changing my -96 Lumina to -96 Lumina LS?
Not sure about whether or not you should swap vehicles. However, there aren't a lot of diffferences between a stock lumina and an LS. The second generation lumina (1995-up) came in 3 trim levels: Base, LS, and LTZ. The base and LS came with a 3.1L V6 engine while the LTZ had either the 3.1 or the 3.8L. The LS came with a few more options (than the base model), such as: leather, sunroof, bucket seats w/ floor console, dual exhaust, dual zone climate control, alloy wheels, tape or CD player, optional guage cluster (including a tach), and keyless entry. That's really about it. Essentially with the LS you get a few more perks. However, they seem to vary from LS to LS....that is, not every LS has all of these options. Like I stated, the main difference between the trim levels was that the LTZ had the optional 3.8L engine which became standard equipment in '98 or '99 (I can't remember which year it was).
