I always jack my truck up by:

Front End: I place my jack between the two studs on the frame that holds the Tranny Support beam; and place my jacks right in front of the jack. I do this because It just fits nicely! I guess the benefits would be that the jack wont slip. But I never thought of it; it just fist nicely =D

Rear End: Stick it on the Diff Housing jack up. Slide jack stand at about the half way point on the Rear Axial. I figure if that thing is stronger than the frame; why not?
