With more research into the matter, on a suggestion from Blue Bowtie,
"If pressure drops off within a minute, the pressure regulator and/or injectors are suspect."
I did more research on the Pressure Regulator and all of these symptoms fit the bill, plus it was something easy & quick to replace. A trip to my local parts store, $70, and 15 minutes I had my new pressure regulator in and it fired up immediately. So far it definitely seems to be what the problem was. Hopefully no more emberassing cranking the engine again and again! Thanks again everybody for all the suggestions.
