I suggest you buy the Haines Manual. If it's like the 2000 (same engine), you have to rotate the engine forward (which isn't as hard as it sounds). The Haines Manual has all of the instructions. AutoZone sells them for around $15.
It isn't easy, but it isn't impossible either. Should be able to do it on a Saturday afternoon. You'll need a selection of extensions for your ratchet set, and one of those hinged extensions might be helpful, too.
