Vehicle 02 Suburban 1500 5.3L flex-fuel w/ fuel injection. Recently I replaced the fuel filter under the driver's door. After that, the Suburban would not start if the tank was under the 7-8 gallon range (tank holds 31 gallons). If the engine was running, it would run fine at or under this range but if the vehicle sat overnight on level ground, the next morning it will not start (fuel gauge reads approx. 1/4). The only way to start it is to add about two gallons or manually move vehicle down a small hill (change of grade). I know it still has 7-8 gallons in the tank because after starting, I would immediately drive to a station and fill up (only 21 gallons would go in). Any ideas? Is there possibly a pressure problem with the fuel injection system?
