Electrical problems?

I've had my Ford Fiesta MK3 for little over two months now and it's been running smoothly since the first day till last night. I started the ignition and all the panel lights and interior light began to flash, along with a clicking noise, and the car wouldn't start up either. Anyway, I left it over night and when I returned to it this morning the central locking had gone along with the rest of the battery power. Luckily I had a spare battery in the garage so I replaced the old one with it hoping that it'd just be the battery; however, this wasn't the case. Once the new battery was in place I went to start up the car and this time all I can hear is a "click" noise when I turn the ignition, also both indicator lights are lit constant and the left headlight doesn't come on at all, not to mention a few other faults! What's strange is that the oil level indicator, the parking brake indicator and the seatbelt warning light stay on even when the key's not in, which never happened before.

Can anyone help me on this one?

Thanks in advance.
